Hi! My name's Monica Moedt, and I've been scrapping seriously since my daughter was born almost 11 years ago. My younger sister got me started, cutting shapes out of construction paper, and scattering stickers willy nilly... oh, the good old days! I've been married to my amazing husband Jonathan for 12 years, and we now have 3 kids - Katie (10), John (9) and Nathan (8).
I work fulltime at our local Christian high school as an Educational Assistant, as well as playing piano for the two choirs. As a family, we're very involved in our church and school, as well as spending time with our extended families. I'm very excited to be a GDT this month, and can't wait to see what you all create!

I am a wife, happily married to my best friend and high school sweetheart for 13 years, a mom to four totally spoiled kitties, and a part-time reading teacher. My interests include marathoning, quilting, reading, spending time with my family and of course, scrapbooking! It is hard to believe that I just passed my first anniversary since I started scrapbooking! Now I can't imagine a day going by without playing with paper!

I have reached that age, where they say life begins at 40, which I think is really true. Married to my loving and supportive husband Murray for almost 8 years. We have 2 beautiful girls Amy (5 years) and Chloe (19 months), they are my inspiration to scrapbook. I am born and bred in Durban, South Africa, a little city along the coastline. I had always been a keen card-maker, until my sister-in-law introduced me to the world of Scrapbooking in October 2002. I went for my first class at a local craft shop in November and you could say I had been bitten by the Scrappin Bug and am now hooked! When my husband and I had started to think about starting a family, the birth of my daughter motivated me to create a legacy to leave behind for her one day. As well as it being a hobby that I can actually lose myself in! I made my debut on Making Memories Blog, this was the highlight of my year. My style...well I don’t know that I have one, as my layouts range from simple to shabby to heritage and I am not afraid of colour or stretching my comfort zone. My weakness is that I try to be too perfect and my strength would be focusing on the photo’s.

... spice it up
